Military Museum (Junshi Bowuguan) Subway Station (地铁军事博物馆) is on Beijing Subway Line 1 and Line 9. It is situated by just between the Chinese People’s Revolutionary Military Museum and the China Millennium Monument.
Arriving by Subway
Doors will open on the left. This station uses split or enclosed concourses, so choose your exit before departing via the exit gates.
Escalators leading to ground level are generally available at exits.
MAJOR LANDMARKS NEARBY
The closest entrance to the Military Museum is Exit B. This station was one of the first in the Beijing network to have escalators, apparently to impress visitors in the 1960s and 1970s.
Exit C1 is close to China Railway Corporation (Chinese national railways). It’s wiser, though, to get your train tickets at a real railway station!
Exit E (split into Exits E1 and E2; some of these are one-way only!) are closest to the China Millennium Monument and the TV Centre of Chinese Central Television.
Changing Lines at This Station
Line 1 to Line 9: Head first to Exits A and D, then follow the signs to connect to the Line 9 part of the station. Some walking required.
Line 9 to Line 1: Follow signage and use the interchange passageway all the way out to Line 1. A lot of walking is required; alternatively, for faster west-east cross-town trips, try either Lines 6 or 7, which are also nearby.
Leaving by Subway
Security checks are required.
If you wish to add value to your Yikatong public transport smartcard, enter from the Line 9 part of the station (Exits E-H), where all machines will also accept smartcard Add Value transactions.
Platform doors are planned for the Line 1 platforms. Always remain behind the yellow line until your train arrives and has come to a complete stop.
Last Line 1 trains: 23:47 for westbound trains to Pingguoyuan; 23:18 for eastbound trains to Sihui East.
Last Line 9 trains: 23:03 for northbound trains to National Library; 23:27 for southbound trains to Guogongzhuang.
Please note: We suggest that all passengers always enter stations and be inside the entry gates approximately 10 minutes before the arrival of the last train.
