Air-to-Rail Services

Access to China is more extensive if you are landing at an airport with a railway connection. At the same time, riders benefit from more direct connections to the rest of the world if they travel from a station with direct access to an airport.

This list does not include stations which offer a “station-to-airport” connection if the two are located more than 5 km (3 miles) apart from one other, or which take more than 10 minutes to complete in regular traffic.

  • Northwestern China — Xinjiang —
Turpan North (Turpanbei / Tulufanbei) Railway Station (吐鲁番北站) / Turpan Jiaohe Airport
  • Northern China — Hebei —
Zhengding Airport Railway Station (正定机场站) / Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport
  • Northeastern China — Jilin —
Longjia Railway Station (龙嘉站) / Changchun Longjia International Airport
  • Eastern China — Shanghai —
Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (上海虹桥站) / Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport
  • Southern China — Hainan —
Meilan Airport Railway Station (美兰机场站) / Haikou (Meilan) Airport

Zhengding Airport’s HSR station is just around five minutes away from the airport itself — so a shuttle bus service is provided. For the two other stations, they are in essence part of the station-cum-airport complex, so all you will need to do is to walk from the station to the airport. Turpan Jiaohe Airport is around 500 metres (less than a third of a mile) away from Turpan North (Turpanbei / Tulufanbei)) Railway Station, so passengers may also choose to walk the slight distance.
