Hefei Railway Station

The Hefei-Bengbu High Speed Railway has just opened today (16 October 2012). This line was delayed from December 2011 through to today.

Local media reports that journeys by train will now take only 4 hours, instead of the previous 9.5 hours. The line is 130 km long and has five stations open to passengers.

These stations are (from south to north):

  • Hefei
  • Hefei Beicheng (Hefei North City)
  • Shuijiahu
  • Huainan East
  • Bengbu South

The line connects to the rest of the Beijing-Shanghai High Speed Railway at Bengbu South Railway Station.
