Xizhimen Subway Station (地铁西直门站)

Xizhimen Subway Station (地铁西直门站) is on Beijing Subway Line 2, Line 4, and Line 13. It is situated by Xizhimen Bridge on the northwestern 2nd Ring Road in central Beijing.

Arriving by Subway

Lines 2 and 4: Doors will open on the left. This station uses split or enclosed concourses, so choose your exit before departing via the exit gates.

Line 13: Doors will generally open on the left. Always listen to announcements in the event of sudden changes. This station uses split or enclosed concourses, so choose your exit before departing via the exit gates.

Escalators leading to ground level are generally available at exits.

MAJOR LANDMARKS NEARBY

Exits E and F, the Line 13 exits, as well as those in the main central hall between Lines 2, 4, and 13, provide direct access to CapitaMall and Xihuan Towers.

There is access to Beijing North (Beijingbei) Railway Station from Exits A1 or A2. Please note that no trains will run from this station until late 2019, but ticketing services will continue. To catch a train from here, use Huoying Subway Station for suburban services to Badaling, Yanqing, and Shacheng/Huailai from Huangtudian Railway Station, or Changping Subway Station for all other national railway trains from Changping North (Changpingbei) Railway Station.

Changing Lines at This Station

Line 2 to other lines: Go downstairs from the Line 2 platform to connect to Line 4. Use Exit A for Line 13 and the Beijing North Railway Station (ticketing only).

Line 4 to other lines: Follow signage for Line 2 or Line 13, or the Beijing North Railway Station (ticketing only). Connections are faster with Line 2 than with other lines.

Line 13 to other lines: Go downstairs and proceed via the main hall for access to other lines or Beijing North Railway Station (ticketing only). For Lines 2 or 4, you will need to use separate paths once you head underground again.

Leaving by Subway

Security checks are required.

If you wish to add value to your Yikatong public transport smartcard, it is advised you enter from a Line 13 entrance, and use the ticketing machines there. You know you’re there when you see all-black ticket gates instead of blue and grey ones.

Platform doors are planned for the Line 2 platforms. Always remain behind the yellow line until your train arrives and has come to a complete stop.

Last Line 2 trains: 22:42 for clockwise trains via Jishuitan; 22:15 for counterclockwise trains via Chegongzhuang (23:00 for trains terminating at Jishuitan).

Last Line 4 trains: 23:35 for northbound trains to Anheqiao North; 22:45 for southbound trains to Tiangongyuan (23:10 for trains terminating at Gongyixiqiao).

Last Line 13 trains: 22:42 for eastbound arc trains to Dongzhimen (23:45 for trains terminating at Huoying).

Please note: We suggest that all passengers always enter stations and be inside the entry gates approximately 10 minutes before the arrival of the last train.
