110 Extra Trains Over Chunyun 2016 Announced

Chinese railways will offer 110 extra trains over the Chunyun (Spring Festival) peak travel period from 29 January 2016 through to 06 February 2016. This will bring the total number of trains in operation over the Chunyun period to 7,086 (3,543 pairs).

In recent days and weeks since the start of Chunyun, the railways are seeing an increase in the number of people travelling by rail. A number of destinations have proven to be popular, and so to meet demand, the railways are adding extra trains running between 29 January 2016 through to 06 February 2016 for services running between Beijing and Guangzhou, Harbin, and Shenyang, between Shanghai and Shenzhen, Hefei, Wenzhou, Fuzhou, and Xiamen, between Wenzhou and Changsha, and between Guangzhou and Guiyang and Chaoshan.
