New, Extra, Extended Services Between SW Central and Southern China as of 01 July 2015

Guangzhou Rail and People’s Railway Web report that new, extra, and extended services will run between southwestern central China to southern China.

The first new service will run between Chongqing North (Chongqingbei) and Shenzhen North (Shenzhenbei), where passengers can transfer onto Metro Line 4 for the Futian Checkpoint to Hong Kong.

The second new service will run between Chengdu East (Chengdudong) and Guangzhou South (Guangzhounan), southern China’s mega hub HSR station. The existing service between Chengdu East and Guangzhou South will be kept.

The new services will run as of 01 July 2015.

“Upward” train numbers (to Chengdu and Chongqing) are as follows:

  • Train G312: Guangzhou South to Chengdu East (existing service)
  • Train G1312: Shenzhen North to Chonqging North (will run as of 01 July 2015)
  • Train G1316: Guangzhou South to Chengdu East (will run as of 01 July 2015)

Trains will generally call at all key stations enroute — in particular Changsha South, Wuhan, and other main stations. Some trains may make extra stops at other stations.stations.
