Northernmost Shanghai Metro Line 3 Stations Closed in Late February 2015

Shanghai Metro Line 3

Shanghai’s Metro Line 3 will soon see improvements in frequencies, which will mean more trains serving station on the line. However, to do so, the train depot at North Jiangyang Road (Jiangyang North Road) has to be expanded.

In order for this to be done, however, service on the northernmost part of Line 3 has to be cut short of the North Jiangyang Road terminus. This will mean that all trains will end early at Shuichan Road. This will affect all Line 3 services from 16 February 2015 through to 28 February 2015.

The following stations will be closed and see no service by Line 3 trains during that time:

  • North Jiangyang Road (江杨北路 / Jiangyang North Road)
  • Tieli Road (铁力路)
  • Youyi Road (友谊路)
  • Baoyang Road (宝杨路)

Free replacement Metro buses will operate. There will also be city buses available to take riders further.
