Christmas Eve 2013: Longer Metro service hours

It’s Christmas Eve again — as a result, some metro operators in China are extending service hours.

  • Guangzhou: The Guangzhou Metro is extending services across the whole network by 1 hour.
  • Nanjing: Last trains on all Nanjing Metro lines depart at 02:00 (25 Dec). Note: Ticket machines will be out of service after midnight. Use city transit cards or buy paper tickets instead.
  • Shenyang: Final trains on Shenyang Metro Lines 1 and 2 will leave at 01:00 (25 Dec).
  • Wuhan: Wuhan Metro Lines 1 and 2 will see extended service hours. Last trains leave at midnight.

Local media reports that the metro systems in Chongqing and Tianjin will also see extended hours.

CHONGQING

  • Line 1 — Xiaoshizi to University City: 00:30
  • Line 1 — University City to Xiaoshizi: 00:28
  • Line 2 — Jiaochangkou to Xinshancun: 00:30
  • Line 2 — Xinshancun to Jiaochangkou: 00:20
  • Line 3 — Yudong to Jiangbei Airport: 00:21
  • Line 3 — Jiangbei Airport to Yudong: 00:30
  • Line 6 — Wulidian to Lijia: 00:18
  • Line 6 — Lijia to Wulidian: 00:30

TIANJIN

  • Line 1 — Liuyuan to Shuanglin: 00:15
  • Line 1 — Shuanglin to Liuyuan: 00:20
  • Line 2 — Caozhuang to Airport Economic Zone: 00:12
  • Line 2 — Airport Economic Zone to Caozhuang: 00:10
  • Line 3 — Xiaodian to High Tech Park: 00:03
  • Line 3 — High Tech Park to Xiaodian: 00:14

Passengers who will be travelling on late night trains are advised to watch schedules and enter stations early.
