Ticketing for Spring Festival Peak Travel Season Extra Trains Begin Today

Extra Regular Rail Trains

Tickets for extra trains during the 2014 Spring Festival Travel Season are now available via the Internet or phonebooking. Railway tickets are available at stations, authorised ticketing agents, or on the 12306.cn website or the Railways 12306 smartphone app. Passengers must present valid ID to buy tickets and to board trains. One valid ID is eligible for only one ticket on the designated train on the specified date of travel.

For extra trains, advance ticketing begins 25 days before departure for Internet and phonebooking (eg: tickets for departure on 16 January 2014 are available on 23 December 2013), or 23 days in advance at counters, authorised agents, and ticket machines (here, tickets for departure on 16 January 2014 are available on 25 December 2013).

For regularly scheduled trains, advance ticketing begins 20 days before departure for Internet and phonebooking (eg: tickets for departure on 16 January 2014 are available on 28 December 2013), or 18 days in advance at counters, authorised agents, and ticket machines (here, tickets for departure on 16 January 2014 are available on 30 December 2013).

Please choose travel dates wisely — refund fees will be increased to a uniform 20% during the Spring Festival Travel Season! Please also ensure you pick up your tickets early. Foreign passport holders should proceed to counters to pick up tickets. Please also have your order number ready.
