Works Will Delay Trains to Yuanping on 08-11 May 2012

In brief:
Due to works at Yuanping Railway Station, Train K601 will be delayed for around 2½ hours.

Due to work at Yuanping Railway Station, Train K601 (Beijing–Taiyuan) will be delayed upon arrival at Yuanping, Xinzhou, and Taiyuan stations. Normal service will continue for this train at Baijian, Lingqiu, and Wutaishan stations, where delays are not expected.

Train K601 will stop for nearly 2 hours and 30 minutes at Xuegu Railway Station just before Yuanping. The delays at Yuanping and beyond will be:—

  • Yuanping (原平): 08:35 ar, 08:38 dp
  • Xinzhou (忻州): 09:08 ar, 09:11 dp
  • Taiyuan (太原): 10:30 ar

Alternatively, passengers travelling from Beijing to Taiyuan who wish to wait for a slightly faster train can take Train D2001 from Beijing West (dp 07:20). Train D2001 arrives at Taiyuan at 11:10, but takes only 3 hours and 50 minutes for the entire stretch (Train K601 will take 12 hours and 10 minutes, delays included).

The delays will last from 08 May 2012 through to 11 May 2012.
